Puppies will be sold with Limited AKC Registration, as a family pet on a spay/neuter contract unless prior arrangements have been made for Full AKC Registration as a show/breeding prospect. Our puppies are home raised, current on age appropriate vaccinations and worming and come with a written One Year genetic Health Guarantee. Dachshund characteristics, these dogs are low to the ground, long bodied, short-legged and well balanced dogs. Originating in the European Countries, they were used for hunting small prey. Dachshund, meaning badger dog, is a hunter by scent and also goes to ground. Official AKC Standard of the Dachshund for breeding or show recognizes only two sizes, Miniature, 11 lbs and under at 12 months of age and Standard usually 16 to 32 lbs.

Dachshunds come in three coat types, smooth, longhair and wirehair and several colors and patterns. Red, black and tan, chocolate and tan, cream, blue and cream, in dapple and brindle just to name a few.

Dachshunds are wonderfully curious dogs, being bred to hunt, they love to investigate so be prepared for the unexpected. These comical little dogs can be quite stubborn, very vocal and extremely loyal, almost to a fault. A playful and devoted family pet, a joy to own and very low maintenance!

Garlin Kennel Miniature Dachshunds is a breeder in Georgia of longhaired and smooth puppies, red, black and tan, chocolate and tan, cream, dapple (merle) and brindle. Our Dachshund puppies are home raised, well socialized and have a health guaranteed. We are located in Loganville Georgia approximately 45 miles N.E. of Atlanta. Actually we are not a large kennel but a small farm on 9 acres. Our dachshunds have the run of our home, pastures and woods. Our Dachshunds are a big part of our family, treated with love and respect, enjoying a happy healthy life with us.
